A Latte for One, A Life for Another.
Imagine that with the money you would spend to buy a latte for two weeks, you could provide a month’s worth of education, clothing and medicine for a child who desperately needs it.
If you are reading this, you already know that the Tumaini Children’s Project is dedicated to bettering the lives of children that have been severely affected by HIV/AIDS. People like you can help to shine some hope back into their lives. Your donations will help to provide a new lease on life for Kenyan youth and children who have been orphaned through AIDS.
As a volunteer-run charity, we have no overhead costs. All money donated goes directly to support our programs in the field to the direct benefit of TCP’s children. Our volunteer staff and board both in Kenya and Canada scan all incoming donations and reconcile all payments sent to our Kenyan projects in order to ensure that no funding is lost. Our field volunteers fundraise and pay their own way for their trips overseas, often using their own resources to support themselves while on the ground. Therefore you can be assured that every single dollar donated goes directly to TCP’s programs in the field.
Where Does the Money Go?
It takes approximately $650 to support one child for one year. Your money goes a long way. With $650, TCP is able to provide:
School Fees
Clothing/ Uniforms
Medicine
School Supplies
Food
Miscellaneous costs that may arise
Your money will directly support the children of St. Clare’s that are now attending the St. Frances Nyamonge Primary Boarding school. Furthermore, the funding that you provide will also be used to support TCP’s rural development projects, such as our computer centre in Asembo Bay.
With your generous support, we can continue to help to improve the lives of those who may have very little hope for a bright future. It takes very little to make a difference, but together change can be powerful. Please be generous and support TCP’s efforts to continue to provide hope and a future.
